I have always wanted to impact someones life, however I did not know how.  During my summer holidays I came across charity: water’s website.  

It was simple and genuine, 100% of all donations directly fund clean water projects.  How can you get any better than that?  The fact that $20 provided one person with clean and safe drinking water is astounding.  

So i started my charity water campaign HERE

I had never raised a dime for charity before so I started out with the intention to raise $500.  I asked my friends and family to donate, I cooked food and sold doughnuts to raise money.  

I started my tumblr page to raise funds and awareness of the water crisis.  I post pictures and GIFs with a total of 300,000 re-blogs.  The reblogs acted like an advertisement and gave people to opportunity to donate to my campaign.

145 kind and generous people from all around the world donated, raising just over $3,000.

$3,000 will provide 151 people with clean water for 20 years.

Water does not just quench thirst, it provide hope and opportunity.

Instead of young children collecting and carrying disease ridden, dirty water for miles each day.  They have the opportunity to school and get an education.

I encourage everyone to start a campaign themselves, with friends or in school/university for charity: water.  

Run a race, grow your beard, sell lemonade.

Also, I cannot thank everyone enough who so kindly donated.  You have really changed someones life.  In 18 months time you will receive photos, stories and GPS location of google maps of the water well you sponsored.
